I'm not Mexican !

If you could be instantly fluent in one other language that you currently do not read or speak, which would it be?

I would say Chinese! I think Chinese is one of the biggest powerful languages you should know for the future so that will hopefully make me a bit more valuable in the future when they take over.

The next would probably be Spanish. Hence, I can honestly say that I really do not   like their sound system and the way they pronounce words.

In fact, before I came to California I had never thought about Spanish language!

If I could speak Spanish, I would avoid misunderstanding with people here.
Some people start a conversation with me in Spanish..  when I reply in English they get  very angry !

  1. Spanish certainly would be very useful to know here in Southern California. I wish I could remember and speak more of it!

  2. Really? They come up to you and speak in Spanish? I somewhat understand how you feel because I have many Chinese people come up to me and strike a conversation in Chinese. Unfortunately, I know very few Chinese words. Hence, they figure it out soon enough that I cannot communicate with them.

Yes, as Robyn wrote, learning Spanish especially down here in Southern California would be VERY useful!

  6. Yeah totally. Chinese is very hard, and we also have a lot of accents. Basically, every Province (State) has their own accent. But I think learning Chinese will bring you surprises. Enjoy it!
